Synopsis

You wake up in a strange place, and see two strange individuals before you: a hyperactive, manic young man, and a stoic, quiet gentleman.  It quickly becomes evident that you have been brought here for a special purpose:

To be the young man's first kill.

This was made for the 72 Hour Murderboy Mayhem Jam.  I (Bez) am so proud of how this turned out--everyone on the team did amazing!  We hope you enjoy this game.

Kinda wished I could've been able to date both of them ngl

Saaame. Was hoping for a poly ending lol. There are so few games with those.

I've never played games where you can choose both LI's, if you know some could you tell me the names pls? I would apreciate it :)

Perhaps in a future To Train A Killer game!  Keep an eye out.

Love the voice acting sm! Especially the contrasts in their voices. Also why does Cerule give me Chucky vibes

Glad you like it! C: & I can see where you're coming from!

I absolutely had so much fun playing this!! I loved the voice acting so much, it really fit the two guys, and now I so wanna see what would happen next! Thank you so much for putting a walkthrough, Ending 3 was definitely my favorite♥♥♥

Omg tysm for the let's play!  I'm glad you enjoyed playing the game!  The voice actors did a killer (pun intended) job.  I'm so proud of the work everyone on the team did on this! ^u^

This is such an amazing game , and the voice acting is soo good!

The voice acting was brilliant and really captured the characters' personalities.

Ending 3 was my favourite

It's all well done, pretty and charming in its own way like paper craft! I have been playing this on browser (desktop) but I have been struggling with finding the other endings. Perhaps the path isn't quite clear to me (autistic horror game girlie) but I have been following what was said in the comments (don't leave/struggle, don't talk too much, try reacting to pain, focus on both men) and it leads to the same 2/3 ending. The only thing different is the dialogue after the choices. It's essentially a really hard riddle trying to figure out the rest of the ending's paths with only one clue.

I just wrote up a guide. Check it out here: https://norbez.itch.io/to-train-a-killer-first-hunt/devlog/776838/guide-to-endin...

Update! Also spoilers ahead just in case, hoping I format it right for future posts I make on other horror games.

Trying to follow the guide did help in a sense, so it reassured me that what I tried with Ending 2 (common) and 1 was right. I however realized that the game might've had an issue validating ending 1 because despite the route being correct and it having different dialogue than what ending 2 had, it was marked as 2/3. A related note was that on the second path for ending 1, for some reason despite doing the exact instructions, the game decided at the end to register that instead of staying still at the last part, it went to freeing the hand instead; the choice for either option didn't even come up. Pretty weird!

Ending 3 was what I got wrong with, as in I was so close to getting it right by guessing routes but also not quite, but I was able to figure it out thanks to the guide! I'd say that one is the best ending all things considered in a scary situation like this.

Ah, you're correct. It does look like it shows the wrong ending screen for one of the endings. All of them show the correct text, it just looks like the image was shown incorrectly. So goes gamejam stuff :) when/if we update the game, we will resolve this.

nice novel

I only get 2/3 ending, can we have any guide pls? I really love the game

Writer here, I'll try not to spoiler too much:

if you're trying to leave, maybe don't. If you're talking a lot, try being quiet. If you're being quiet, try reacting to the pain. If you're paying attention only to one man, try paying attention to the other!

Uncomfortable game, well done! Not a great guide on ‘how to escape killers’, though.

but I only get the 2/3 ending, are there some secrets?
